Mit 686,14 Milliarden Euro führt Apple das Ranking der größten Technologieunternehmen der Welt in Bezug auf die Marktkapitalisierung an. Es folgen Microsoft und Samsung mit 467,23 bzw. 235,23 Milliarden Euro.
Dieses Ranking erhält im Moment der authentischen Revolution (digital und technologisch), die wir erleben, eine besondere Bedeutung. Die Top-Unternehmen in diesem Ranking werden auch im globalen Ranking der weltweit größten Unternehmen (Apple, Alphabet und Microsoft) gereiht. Diese Revolution besteht im Wandel von Wirtschaften, die auf analogen Technologien und Sektoren mit traditionellen Produktionsmethoden basieren, hin zu anderen, in denen neue Informationstechnologien dominieren.
Die Hegemonie der USA im Technologiesektor überrascht niemanden, und zumindest mittelfristig scheint niemand damit fertig zu werden. Allerdings geraten Unternehmen aus asiatischen Ländern wie Taiwans TSMC aufgrund ihres Wachstums in späteren Jahren gefährlich nahe heran. Von Platz 10 im Jahr 2015 mit 97,78 Milliarden Euro Marktkapitalisierung auf Platz 6 im Jahr 2017 mit 147,93.
Bei den spanischsprachigen Unternehmen müssen wir mit dem spanischen Unternehmen Amadeus IT mit einer Marktkapitalisierung von 20,52 und 7,77 Milliarden Euro an Vermögenswerten auf Position 39 zurückkehren.
